About

Why I built this

I'm a person who went through a genuinely maddening stretch of trying to conceive, and got tired of choosing between two bad options: glossy wellness content with zero sources, or dense academic papers that assume you already have a medical degree.

Before any of this, I spent years working with research data for a living (which turned out to be a curse once I started Googling my own symptoms, because I couldn't stop pulling the actual studies apart). Every "just relax and it'll happen" or "eat this one weird fruit" claim sent me down a rabbit hole checking whether it was actually true. Mostly, it's all bullshit.

Stork Academy is that rabbit hole, checked and organized. Every article here is based on real experiences and studies, written the way I wish someone had explained it to me.

A few things worth knowing

  • I'm not a doctor or nurse, or licensed in anything medical. Nothing here replaces an actual conversation with your provider (see the disclaimer for the less charming legal version of that sentence).
  • I keep this site anonymous on purpose. It's not about hiding, it's about keeping the focus on the information instead of on me.
  • Some links on this site are affiliate links, meaning I may earn a small commission if you buy something through them, at no extra cost to you. I only link things I'd actually recommend to a friend.
  • If you spot something that's wrong, outdated, or misquoted (hey, I'm only human), I'd rather fix it than defend it.
