Hi, I’m Katelyn!

Mom, scientist and fertility-educator extraordinaire!

About me

Is this where I’m supposed to tell you how awesome I am? But I bet you don’t care that much about my degree in Neuroscience, or the awards I won as a scientist (see what I did there 😉). So instead, I’m going to talk about my passion and how I turned that passion into helping women get pregnant.

The proactive mindset

Let’s do a little personality quiz. I’m going somewhere with this, I promise!

pick your attitude

Did you score more B‘s than A’s? If so, you have what is called a proactive attitude on life (and we just became best friends!).

People with a proactive mindset realize there are certain things they can’t control, and certain things they CAN control. Even when things seem hopeless, they look for ways to better their situation. And they’re not only happier, they tend to get the things they’re actively working for too!

Reactive people on the other hand tend to blame circumstances and outside factors for their problems. They don’t actively look for solutions to their problems, but instead complain, blame, or make excuses.

What does any of this have to do with getting pregnant?

Well, getting pregnant often isn’t as easy as an episode of teen mom makes it seem. One in 8 couples (and this is moving towards 1 in 6!) struggle to conceive.

And you know what? I think that absolutely sucks! You found the perfect partner, you got the house with that extra bedroom that’ll make the cutest nursery, you saved enough money to buy years worth of expensive diapers, and yet every cycle ends in disappointment (but the pregnancy announcements keep showing up on your Facebook feed).

Sounds familiar?

For those of us who like to have some sort of control over our life, trying to conceive can be one of the most frustrating experiences. As our fertility isn’t entirely in our control. I remember Googling: What’s the best time of year to have a baby? Thinking it was as simple as a few bouts of lovemaking that would get us there. I must admit, that was pretty naïve!

When I didn’t get pregnant that first month of trying, or the second, or third month… I knew I had to change my approach.

No, our fertility isn’t entirely in our control… but there are always SOME things we can do to improve the odds.

So I made it my mission to find out everything we *could* do to boost our fertility. I came across many ideas that turned out to be complete BS, but luckily, there are still a few scientifically proven strategies that you can implement to boost your chances of getting pregnant.

So here’s what I did…

I scoured the internet fact checking every personal anecdote, old wives’ tale, and of course I read pretty much every scientific study ever published related to fertility.

Three things happened:

1) I didn’t feel as powerless anymore. I felt much more in control and the trying to conceive journey instantly felt less stressful.

2) I actually was able to figure out what was keeping me from getting pregnant, and I got pregnant soon after I made changes.

3) Then I wanted to share what I had learned. I started helping other women figure out what they could do to get pregnant too.

Storkacademy was born

After seeing the success these women had, I was hooked! I started Storkacademy.com where I share in depth articles, quick tips, strategies, and fertility facts all geared toward improving your odds of getting pregnant.

TTC School modules

I soon got emails and DMs from all over the world asking if they could hire me as their personal fertility coach, but I had to decline. I simply didn’t have enough time to help everyone! So I decided the best way to help as many couples as I could, was to create an online course.

A step-by-step process that takes you from beginner to expert in no time. From which foods to avoid when you’re trying to conceive, to which ovulation predictor kit works best when you have low LH levels (and how to even figure out you have low LH levels, and what LH levels even are!), what you can do to improve your cervical mucus, how often to have sex, how the whole basal body temperature-thing works and what it can tell you about your fertility, to which pregnancy tests are prone to giving you false positives.

And that’s just a tiny part of what you’ll find in TTC School, my flagship fertility course. There are over 10 module and 60 video lessons!

The dream

Being proactive about your fertility could make the difference between having a baby, and having to give up on that dream.

If you’re not into online courses, don’t worry. You’ll find lots of actionable tips right here (for free) on Storkacademy.com (or follow me on Instragram).

Because no matter if you want the whole blueprint (TTC School), or just a quick fertility tip, I want to help you! There’s nothing that makes me happier than receiving an email like this:

Hi Katelyn, you’re the first person we decided to tell… I’m pregnant!!!! I got my positive last Friday and I know I couldn’t have done it without your support. I am forever grateful that I found you because we were so close to giving up. You showed me what we could still try and what we needed to stop doing. That glimmer of hope was enough to keep trying a few more cycles. And now I sit here staring at my positive pregnancy test that seemed so out of reach just a few months ago. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

Reading emails like that makes me so emotional. It fuels my desire to help more women get pregnant every day. So if you made it alllll the way to the end of this page, something tells me you also have a proactive personality. You’re someone who can’t stand feeling powerless about their fertility. Someone who doesn’t want to look back 10 years from now saying: If only I tried a little harder, a little smarter.

Nodding your head? I think we just became best friends! Join me and see what fertility boosting changes you can make today!

I’m rooting for you!

xoxo

Katelyn.
